Basques in California is an incredible history not only of the Basques, but of the very diverse state of California. From explorers, missionaries, sailors, politicians, tradition bearers, business owners, and more, the Basque people have played an incredibly important role in the history and progression of California.

This project has been a long process that includes many organizations, researchers, authors, translators, designers, and so many more without whom we would not be able to present this dynamic website and subsequent exhibit.
